Our Menu

We take our catering very seriously and supply breakfast, lunch and tea prepared on site by a professional cook.  Great care is taken over the planning of our menus and its nutritional content.

Meals are served:

  • Breakfast 8 - 9am
  • Snack 10:30am approx.
  • Lunch 12:30 - 1:30pm
  • Tea 4 - 5pm

Snacks are offered on a freeflow basis in our Toddler and Pre-school Rooms, allowing the children more uninterrupted child led learning possibilities.  Snack is seen as an ideal learning opportunity where independence is encouraged and choices are offered to promote self-help skills and promote positive wellbeing.  Healthy snacks are promoted such as fresh fruit, breadsticks,rice cakes, crackers, plain biscuit or cracker breads.  Water and fresh fruit are easily accessible for the children all day.

Meal times at Orchard Day are a friendly, social occasions and staff are encouraged to eat with the children to set a good example.
